Donna's expressive and creative approach to building a painting of any subject starts with establishing the big shapes and values which will then serve as catalysts for the design. After exploring multiple versions of values and shapes, she adds color to the chosen design, producing striking and powerful work. A very involved, thorough and attentive teacher, Donna leads her students through this process with vitality and skill and the results are amazing! After a daily demo, students paint plein air or in the studio, ending with a discussion and critique.
