In this workshop, Doug will teach the technique of using oils paints in a direct, alla prima manner. The focus will be on the development of skills essential to direct painting: composition, pure and simple color mixing and the process of painting. Working both in the Studio and Plein Air, the class will be geared to beginning and intermediate students who would like to learn the excitement of completing a painting in a single two or three hour session!
