How To Get Here!
Rockland is halfway up the Coast,
on Penobscot Bay.
Fly:
To Portland or Bangor (or to Boston & take a connecting flight to
Knox County Regional Airport in Owl’s Head.) Rent a car, hire
a limo or take a bus from Bangor, Portland or Boston, or call a cab
from Owl’s Head. We’re 11⁄2 hrs. from Bangor, 1 3/4 hrs. from
Portland, 3 1⁄2 hrs. from Boston and 10 minutes from Owl’s Head.
Drive:
Take Rte 95 North into Maine to Exit 44 (formerly Exit 6A). Follow
Rte 295 North to Exit 28-Brunswick/Bath/Coastal Route One (formerly
Exit 22). Follow Route One North to Rockland.
In
town, at the intersection of Route 73, go straight ahead through the
light; the Trade Winds Motor Inn is just ahead on the left.
For
Glen Cove, turn left at the light and follow Route 1 North for about
3 miles. The Inn is on the top of the hill on the right, just after
a traffic light and before the hospital entrance.
